- A 35 years old adult Cerebral Palsy patient from Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, successfully underwent Eastern India’s First Advanced ITB (Intrathecal Baclofen) pacemaker system implantation surgery at Apollo Multispecialty Hospitals, Kolkata The patient, his mother & relatives are delighted with the result. This is Eastern India’s first Intrathecal Baclofen (ITB) system which is MR compatible with more than 20 years longevity. Through this we have been able to raise the bar in holistic management of thousands of spastic patients.
- since its inception, hundreds of movement disorder patients have also been treated non-surgically in our Movement Disorder Clinic with medications and brain & ITB pacemaker programming sessions.
